In cases where a person has two names in the Register of Natural Persons only the first name is used in the statistics for the most popular names.

The statistics only covers the names the total number whereof exceeds three. 

Reference metadata

Fields:

Year – a year when the respective number of names was recorded (2011–2022); 
Sex – gender (F – female, M – male);
Code – code of the historical region (LV, LV06, LVV_x_LV06, LVK, LVZ, LVL);
Hist_region_LV – Latvian name of the historical region (Latvija, Rīga, Vidzeme bez Rīgas, Kurzeme, Zemgale, Latgale);
Hist_region_EN – English name of the historical region (Latvia, Riga, Vidzeme excluding Riga, Kurzeme, Zemgale, Latgale);
Name – a name of the person;
Numb – count of the respective name.
