About
Cabinet Regulation No 752 on the Official Statistics Programme for 2026–2028 defines the scope of statistical indicators to be produced by the official statistics institutions.
The Statistics Law establishes the official statistics portal as the central platform for publishing all official statistics, their reference metadata, and the data release calendar.
The data published on the portal follow the core principles of open data:
- data are available for download in open machine-readable formats (e.g. CSV, JSON);
- data can be accessed and used via API;
- data are published using standardised resource identifiers (URI);
- data are available free of charge and without login.
The data release calendar is available in the official statistics portal section Advance dissemination calendar.
Statistics on the official statistics portal can be browsed by topic or found using the search function.
The official statistics portal was developed within the framework of the Operational Programme Growth and Employment (2014–2020) of the EU Structural and Cohesion Funds. The project was implemented under Specific Objective 2.2.1 To increase the re-use of public sector data and ensure efficient interaction between public administration and the private sector, Activity 2.2.1.1 Development of centralised public administration ICT platforms and optimisation of public administration processes.
On 3 August 2017, Central Statistical Bureau concluded an agreement with the Central Finance and Contracting Agency for the implementation of the project No 2.2.1.1/17/I/002. Project activities were carried out from August 2017 to August 2020.
