Results from the 2017 survey
Between January and March 2017, CSB conducted a survey* on quality of life in State cities : Daugavpils, Jelgava, Jēkabpils, Jūrmala, Liepāja, Rēzekne, Valmiera and Ventspils. The survey covered a total of 4 063 respondents, slightly more than 500 people in each city.
The survey is aimed at gathering opinions of the State city residents on various aspects of life in cities, e.g., satisfaction with educational facilities, health care services, urban planning (green and public spaces, sport and cultural facilities). It also helps to find out the main modes of transport used, whether people feel safe in their city and trust in local police, as well as whether they are satisfied with the work of the local public administration and public transport.
*The survey was conducted under the European Commission co-financed grant project Data collection for sub-national statistics (mainly cities).
The data files include detailed breakdowns of responses to all survey questions.
