Industrial production output increased by 0.5 % in June
Central Statistical Bureau calendar adjusted data at constant prices show that in June 2026 industrial production output 1 increased by 0.5 % year on year. Output in manufacturing rose by 5.0 %, in mining and quarrying it went up by 13.8 %, whereas in electricity and gas supply it fell by 29.8 %.
Increased industrial production output was registered in two out of three sectors having the largest share in manufacturing – in manufacture of food products it grew by 5.7 % and in manufacture of fabricated metal products, except machinery and equipment, by 19.0 %. Higher output was also observed in manufacture of chemicals and chemical products (52.2 %), manufacture of computer, electronic and optical products (17.3 %), manufacture of machinery and equipment (9.7 %), and manufacture of electrical equipment (3.9 %). Output reduction, however, was recorded in the sector with largest share in manufacturing – manufacture of wood and of products of wood and cork, except furniture (down by 1.1 %). Reduced output was also registered in manufacture of beverages (19.5 %), manufacture of wearing apparel (16.8 %), manufacture of motor vehicles, trailers and semi-trailers (16.5 %), and manufacture of paper and paper products (7.9 %).
Month on month, industrial production output reduced by 0.8 % (seasonally adjusted data at constant prices). Output in manufacturing fell by 0.3 %, in electricity and gas supply it dropped by 13.3 %, while mining and quarrying saw an output increase of 2.6 %.

Manufacturing turnover 2
Compared with June 2025, manufacturing turnover increased by 6.0 % (calendar adjusted data at current prices). Turnover on the domestic market went up by 2.9 % and on the non-domestic market it grew by 7.7 % (of which rise of 8.5 % in euro area and of 6.9 % in non-euro area).
Compared with May 2026, manufacturing turnover rose by 0.9 % (seasonally adjusted data). Turnover on the domestic market went down by 2.9 % while on the non-domestic market it increased by 3.0 % (of which rise of 2.4 % in euro area and of 3.6 % in non-euro area).
The published data may be specified in upcoming months if additional information is received.

Methodological information
1 Industrial production output is calculated by summing the self-produced products sold and industrial services provided during the respective month with the change in stocks of finished products and work in progress. The volume index of industrial production describes changes in the volume of industrial production during the reference period in comparison to the base period. The index is estimated by recalculating the production output indicator at constant prices with the help of producer price indices.
2 Industrial turnover covers the self-produced products sold and industrial services provided during the respective month. Industrial turnover index characterises monthly changes in demand for industrial goods and services on the market. It is calculated at current prices without excluding price influence. Unlike the industrial output that also includes unfinished goods and goods in stock, turnover only includes the goods sold and industrial services provided.
