Industrial production output rose by 9.8 % in July
Central Statistical Bureau calendar adjusted data at constant prices show that in July 2025 industrial production output1 increased by 9.8 % year-on-year. Output in manufacturing rose by 10.8 %, in electricity and gas supply it grew by 12.5 %, while in mining and quarrying reduced by 18.4 %.
Increased industrial production output was recorded in all three sectors having the largest share manufacturing: in manufacture of wood and of products of wood and cork, except furniture it rose by 7.3 %, in manufacture of food products by 11.6 %, and in manufacture of fabricated metal products, except machinery and equipment by 6.6 %. Upturn was also observed in manufacture of motor vehicles, trailers and semi-trailers (up by 34.3 %), manufacture of electrical equipment (20.9 %), manufacture of furniture (17.0 %), manufacture of computer, electronic and optical products (13.5 %), as well as printing and reproduction of recorded media (12.8 %). However, reduction was recorded in manufacture of wearing apparel (22.6 %) and repair and installation of machinery and equipment (2.7 %).
Month-on-month, industrial production output rose by 1.5 % (seasonally adjusted data at constant prices). Output in manufacturing went up by 1.4 %, in electricity and gas supply, boosted by growing gas sales, it rose by 45.1 %, while mining and quarrying saw an output reduction of 1.7 %.

Methodological information
1 Industrial production output is calculated by summing the self-produced products sold and industrial services provided during the respective month with the change in stocks of finished products and work in progress. The volume index of industrial production describes changes in the volume of industrial production during the reference period in comparison to the base period. The index is estimated by recalculating the production output indicator at constant prices with the help of producer price indices.
2 Industrial turnover covers the self-produced products sold and industrial services provided during the respective month. Industrial turnover index characterises monthly changes in demand for industrial goods and services on the market. It is calculated at current prices without excluding price influence. Unlike the industrial output that also includes unfinished goods and goods in stock, turnover only includes the goods sold and industrial services provided.
