Convicted persons
The Court Administration is a direct public administration institution subordinate to the Minister for Justice. It supports efficient work and development of district (city) courts and regional courts as well as provides official statistics for convicted persons.
Statistics for convicted persons covers the individuals convicted by a sentence.
Statistics for crimes is compiled based on the most severe punishment sanction applied to the convicted person in accordance with the Sections of the Criminal Law.
The time series maintained on the official statistics portal include the following types of crime:
- murder (Criminal Law, Section 116–118);
- intentional serious bodily injury (Criminal Law, Section 125);
- rape (Criminal Law, Section 159);
- robbery (Criminal Law, Section 176);
- theft (Criminal Law, Section 175);
- theft, fraud, misappropriation on a small scale (Criminal Law, Section 180);
- hooliganism (Criminal Law, Section 231);
- violation of traffic provisions and provisions regarding vehicle operation (Criminal Law, Section 260);
- unauthorised manufacture, acquisition, storage, transportation and forwarding of narcotic and psychotropic substances (Criminal Law, Section 253).
