Construction cost indices
The Construction Cost Index (CCI) is an input price index that measures changes in the prices of the main types of resources used in construction: building materials, labour remuneration of construction workers, and maintenance and operational costs of machinery and equipment.
The base year of the CCI is 2021, expressed as 100 index points (2021 = 100).
Changes in construction costs
Year-on-year changes in construction costs reflect cost fluctuations over a 12-month period, with each month compared with the corresponding month a year earlier, showing whether construction has become more or less expensive.
Month-on-month changes in construction costs reflect short-term trends and show fluctuations in the average cost level over the month.
