Key Indicators
Productivity
The main indicators of a country's economic productivity are gross domestic product per capita and gross domestic product per person employed.
To compare productivity over a longer period, volumes are expressed in constant prices, thus eliminating the effects of price level fluctuations.
Eurostat data on productivity in the EU
Labour productivity per person employed and hour worked (EU27=100)
GDP per person employed is intended to give an overall impression of the productivity of national economies expressed in relation to the European Union average. If the index of a country is higher than 100, this country's level of GDP per person employed is higher than the EU average and vice versa.
