In June, passenger turnover at Riga International Airport has increased by 85.1 % compared to May
In June 2021, 157.7 thousand passengers were received at Riga International Airport, that is 2.8 times more than in May 2020 and 85.1 % more than in May this year. Data compiled by the Central Statistical Bureau show that the total number of flights in June was 3 116, which is twice as many as a year earlier.
For the third consecutive month, the number of passengers at Riga Airport has increased compared to both the previous month and the same month a year ago. In April, passenger turnover increased 18 times, in May - 8.3 times, but in June - 2.8 times compared to the corresponding period of 2020.
In June 2021, the volume of cargo and post unloaded comprised 1.3 thousand tonnes, which is 34.9 % more than in June 2020, but the volume of cargo loaded comprised 0.9 thousand tonnes – an increase of 4.9 %.
