In March volume of cargo and post loaded and unloaded at airport has increased by 49.1 %

In March 2021 passenger turnover at Riga International Airport has reduced by 85.9 %, as compared to March 2020. The total number of flights comprised 1 424, which is 62.4 % less. Data compiled by the Central Statistical Bureau show that the volume of cargo and post loaded and unloaded has increased by 49.1 %¹.

The total number of passenger arrivals and departures at Riga International Airport in March 2021 comprised 33.3 thousand – 9.2 thousand or 38.3 % more than in the previous month.

In March 2021, the volume of cargo and post unloaded comprised 1.5 thousand tonnes, which is 2.1 times more than in March 2021, but the volume of cargo loaded comprised 0.8 thousand tonnes – a drop of 5.2 %. As compared to February 2021, the volume of cargo and post unloaded has risen by 55 %, but of cargo and post loaded –by 49.1 %.
