Data description
Data provide information on felled forest areas (ha) and felled volume (m3) in all forests, state forests and other forests by regions, by type of felling, by type of felling execution, by dominant tree species.

Length of comparable time series
Due to the implementation of the administrative-territorial reform in 2020, data from 2021 onwards are not comparable with previous periods. Therefore, the data where a break in the time series occurred are stored in two tables - pre-reform and post-reform.
Data are available starting from 2014.

Reports on tree felling submitted by forest owners and lawful possessors.
Data collection
Section 29, Paragraph two of the Law on Forests stipulates that a forest owner or lawful possessor have an obligation to, by 1 February each year, inform the State Forest Service of the forestry activity carried out in the previous calendar year, including tree felling.
The forest owner or lawful possessor shall submit a report on tree felling. Data are registered in the state information system - the State Forest Register.
Data compilation
The collected data on deforested areas and volumes are compiled and selected in the state information system - State Forest Register.
