Turnover indices of trade in motor vehicles and motorcycles

Turnover indices of trade in motor vehicles and motorcycles are used for industry development estimates.

Surveyed unit is the kind of activity unit (an enterprise or part of an enterprise that includes only one kind of economic activity). 

The statistical population consists of economically active enterprises and/or kind of activity units classified according to NACE Rev. 2.r division 45 "Wholesale, retail trade and repair of motor vehicles and motorcycles" and for division 46 "Wholesale trade, except for motor vehicles and motorcycles".

Trade and repair of motor vehicles and motorcycles

Data are acquired with the help of sample survey. Information is obtained from:

• CSB monthly questionnaires 4-turnover "Survey on Turnover";
• for data imputation information from Value Added Tax declaration from State Revenue Service are used.

The survey units are selected using simple stratified random sampling.

The stratification is based on two company-characteristic indicators: the company's net turnover and the company's type of activity according to NACE 2nd edition.

The sample is formed as an independent sample from other survey samples

Indices are calculated as non-adjusted, seasonally adjusted and calendar adjusted data.
