Source data
Data are obtained conducting a sample size survey. Information is collected from CSB statistical report form 2-labour “Survey on Labour”, 2-labour-short and 2-labour-annex “Annex to Survey on Labour by Sector”.
Data collection
In 2025, about 5.3 thousand respondents are surveyed quarterly.
State and local government merchants (except for those belonging to the general government sector) and all businesses of the private sector with 100 or more employees are surveyed completely. Other statistical units are surveyed with the help of simple stratified sample, conducted in strata formed prior based on the economic activity and enterprise size (number of employees).
All respondents included in sample of the survey 2-labour-annex "Annex to Survey on Labour by Sector" and used to compile indicators on construction by kind of activity unit fill in the report 2-labour "Survey on Labour". At the beginning of 2025, sample of the survey 2-labour-annex consisted of 43 respondents. The data are provided by respondents having several economic activities at least one whereof in line with the NACE Rev. 2 is classified under Section B, C, D, E (36) and employing at least 10 persons.
Data compilation
Information was obtained from the statistical surveys every quarter in breakdown by month. The information acquired from respondents included in the sample is extrapolated by using weight given to each sample unit. The report indicators multiplied by the weights at first are summed at class (4-digit), group (3-digit), division (2-digit) and section (letter) level in compliance with the NACE Rev. 2.
Every quarter, data summaries are analysed to estimate credibility of imputations of non-responding units or units not surveyed directly and data acquired by using the weights. The summary indicators are compared with those on the previous periods and information in administrative sources.
Number of employees, hours worked and wage and salary size in construction sector is recalculated at constant units with the help of respective indices. For more detailed analysis of the data, the number of employees, hours worked and wages and salaries indices are compared.
