Breakdown of net turnover of wholesale trade, retail trade and repair enterprises of motor vehicles and motorcycles

Data on breakdown of net turnover of trade and repair of motor vehicles and motorcycles enterprises by groups of commodities are used for the sale structure analysis.

Data on the sales of motor vehicles in breakdown by product groups are compiled once in a five years.

Economically active enterprises main activity of which is wholesale, retail trade and repair of motor vehicles and motorcycles.

Data are obtained on all economically active enterprises main activity of which is wholesale, retail trade and repair of motor vehicles and motorcycles (NACE Rev. 2 Division 45), in smaller breakdown by NACE classes:

• NACE 45.11 – Sale of cars and light motor vehicles;
• NACE 45.19 – Sale of other motor vehicles;
• NACE 45.20 – Maintenance and repair of motor vehicles;
• NACE 45.31 – Wholesale trade of motor vehicle parts and accessories;
• NACE 45.32 – Retail trade of motor vehicle parts and accessories;
• NACE 45.40 – Sale, maintenance and repair of motorcycles and related parts.

The enterprises for the survey are selected with the help of simple stratified random sampling. The enterprises are stratified by kind of economic activity according to the Statistical Classification of Economic Activities and turnover. The higher the turnover, the bigger the opportunity for the enterprise to be included in the sample.

• In 2015 out of 2.8 thsd enterprises 473 were surveyed;
• In 2010 out of 2.9 thsd enterprises 515 were surveyed;
• In 2005 out of 2.6 thsd companies 585 were surveyed;
• In 2000 out of 2.2 thsd enterprises 655 were surveyed.
