Rural communities (According to materials of Population Census 1935) (in Latvian and in French)

Carrying out fourth general Population Census 1935, Statistical State Bureau also collected some facts of general character on separate rural communities.

Processing these facts, the bureau has compiled reports on nature and population of these rural communities, as well as on their facilities. To make these reports available to wider community, Statistical State Bureau issued this book.

Taking into account that all facts in the book were collected for the first time, Statistical State Bureau has no opportunity to check them comparing them to results of the previous Population Census. Therefore a possibility that one or another numbers in the book has an occasional or random character is not excluded, but that does not change general picture. Therefore, these facts will be useful to everyone that are interested in our general conditions of rural life.
